Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Merchandise Planning, the Merchandise Planner supports the Merchandising department in achieving its financial performance goals as related to sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, GMROI financial plan goals as well as maintaining optimal in-stock positions by SKU and by store, by using consistent and uniform methods of planning, analysis and allocation, i.e. planning and replenishment “best practices” as identified by the Vice President, Merchandise Planning and the respective Category Manager.
